Uncomfortable Truth: The Lies About MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying)
The lies surrounding Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) in Canada keep growing. While Canadians are distracted by issues like inflation, crime, wars, and immigration, the federal government and the Canadian Medical Association continue to quietly expand the list of those who qualify for MAiD.
Recently, a Canadian man suffering from ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) chose MAiD and, after his passing, became part of a historic event — his heart was successfully transplanted to a patient in the United States. This procedure, reported in The Journal of Heart & Lung Transplantation as the first successful heart transplant following MAiD, marks a major development in both medicine and ethics (Abdullah et al., 2025).
Some may question why a Canadian organ went to an American recipient, but that debate misses a deeper concern. According to several peer-reviewed studies and ethical reviews, approaching MAiD candidates about organ donation must be handled with extreme care. Experts warn that any discussion initiated before a patient independently expresses interest could be seen as coercion, potentially influencing their decision to proceed with MAiD (Silva e Silva et al., 2024; Canadian Blood Services, 2022).
The uncomfortable truth is beginning to emerge: MAiD, while framed as a compassionate choice, risks becoming a mechanism of legalized depopulation — one intertwined with profit from organ transplantation and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals who have lost hope.

I've concluded, Enough is enough. I decided to take personal action by creating a Right-to-Live Medical Card that is a little more extensive than Dr. Byrne's card. This card, signed by a lawyer and two primary caregivers, will remain in my wallet in case I become unconscious and unable to advocate for myself. It clearly states that no medical personnel have my consent to administer any medication, vaccine, or genetic therapy without explicit permission. It also directs all healthcare professionals and government representatives not to approach me with discussions about MAiD. I also want to expose the lie that you can transplant an organ from a cadaver (dead person). It's a medical lie, it's not humanly possible.
In my upcoming book, Eyes Above the Water, I will include templates and legal guidance for others who wish to refuse consent to MAiD, organ donation, or medical interventions they do not support. I also plan to meet with my local MLA to propose a Right-to-Live Bill, affirming every adult’s right to decline both modern and traditional medical interventions.
